Before you purchase a background check, please review how Skip may use background check results to determine whether you are eligible for background-check verified status and whether you may propose dates to members who require a background check.
By proceeding, you confirm that you reside in the United States, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you understand approval is not guaranteed. Final eligibility is determined after Skip reviews the completed background check, subject to applicable law and any required notice, dispute, waiting-period, or appeal process.
You may not be approved if your report shows:

Background checks are one safety tool. They do not guarantee identity or safety, and results may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or not reportable in some jurisdictions. Many individuals may share similar names and dates of birth, and name and date of birth alone are not sufficient to establish identity.
If your background check is not approved after review, Skip may restrict or disable your account, remove your background-check verified status, or prevent you from proposing dates. You may request another background check after 12 months, if eligible. If you believe there was an error, you may submit an appeal.
Skip may also restrict or disable accounts for suspected fraud, incomplete identity review, inaccurate information, chargebacks, or violations of our Community Guidelines.
Background check fees are non-refundable once processing begins, except where required by law.
Skip only shows other members a simple background-check status. Skip does not show your full background check report to other members.
For payment, cancellation, and refund terms related to background checks, please review our Terms of Sale and Return Policy.
